Located in the heart of the Lake District, the award winning Ambleside Parish Centre is a superb venue for use by both those living locally and those coming from further afield. With breathtaking views of parkland and fells, car parking and excellent accessibility throughout the building you would be hard pressed to find such a stunning and flexible venue anywhere else in the Lake District. The centre offers the best of both worlds: a contemporary building in a traditional setting, sitting between St Mary’s Church, Ambleside Primary School and overlooking the beautiful Rothay Park.
Within our Christian ethos we welcome a wide variety of groups and events - from wedding receptions and celebrations to public meetings, workshops and exercise classes. It is also the perfect setting for creative or reflective gatherings. Rooms or the whole building can be booked at hourly or daily rates depending on your event.

The centre is the result of many years of praying, planning and fundraising. The Anglican and Methodist churches in Ambleside spearheaded the venture. Funds were raised from the sale of the Methodist Church building and adjoining hall along with a large investment from the Anglican church and the lottery and the centre finally opened its doors in July 2006. An intrinsic part of the development was to provide a worship space for the Methodist congregation as well as to provide a multi-functional space for the local community. As such, the Methodist congregation now worship each Sunday morning in the Wesley Room which has magnificent views towards the fells.
The Centre is a company limited by guarantee and has a Board of Directors from both churches, local organisation and voluntary groups.
An outreach service is being provided from the Windermere CAB at Ambleside Parish Centre on Thursday mornings. This is by appointment only – if you would like an appointment please ring 015394 46464 (Windermere CAB)
